Who we are
Children of Songea Trust is a Scottish-based charity that works with communities in Tanzania to deliver education, health and livelihoods programmes.
We believe that being small, volunteer led, and transparent are among our greatest strengths. All our energy and resources are directed towards providing technical and financial support to our partner organisation based in Songea District.
We work alongside Good Samaritan Mission who have provided social, civil and health services within the community since 1999. GSM work with orphaned children, young people and carers, improving their access to education and health care.
Our partnership builds on the skills and knowledge within GSM, ensuring that the strategy is shaped by local people. In addition, we contribute experience and expertise that assist GSM to build its capacity to help local people achieve a sustainable and happy future.
